Intersolar Europe 2025 - the stage for the latest ideas on the energy transition

Intersolar Europe, the world's leading trade fair for the solar industry, took place in Munich from May 7 to 9. It provided a platform for the latest innovations in the renewable energy sector. Everyone who is anyone in the industry was there.
Grid-forming solutions for all scenarios were presented. Next-generation grid-forming energy storage systems (grid-forming ESS) and solutions for use in supply grids, microgrids, commercial and industrial applications as well as in the private sector were presented. The solutions presented at the event catapulted the renewable energy sector into the age of grid-forming.
Multi-energy
For example, Shanghai Electric showcased its advances in collaborative innovation in the fields of photovoltaics, hydrogen and energy storage, as well as the integration of high-end devices into smart energy systems. The company's multi-energy system, which combines solar and hydrogen storage solutions, is designed to optimize investment and operating costs.
HUAWAI offers solutions for an open ecosystem
The "4T" technologies (bit, watt, heat and battery) were presented as a strategic goal in order to build the energy infrastructure for new electricity systems.
In addition, three central value propositions:
- Grid formation for all scenarios: Grid formation technology is used in electricity generation, transmission, distribution and use to ensure the long-term stability of new electricity systems.
- Safety from cell to cell: Safety measures are taken at every stage to ensure the safety of equipment, personnel and facilities.
- "One matches all": The hardware supports flexible scalability and smooth development of the C-rate, i.e. the charging and discharging speed of storage systems. The AI-powered collaborative PV+ESS management platform can adapt to different business models to enable energy yield prediction and automatic optimization of operating strategies.
The development of an intelligent energy ecosystem that brings all technologies together to achieve a single goal - the energy transition, which is now finally becoming an issue again - is emerging as a major goal.
