A life without fear - is that even possible today?

After listening to the news in the morning, one feeling clearly dominates me today: fear - but what is it all about?

Wikipedia says:
Anxiety is a basic feeling that expresses itself as apprehension and unenthusiastic arousal in situations perceived as threatening. ( ...)

That's what my grandma says:
To be feared to death is to die.

Personally, I sometimes don't even know what to be afraid of first - no kidding!

How high will my electricity bill be?
How much will my standard of living be cut by financial restrictions?
How long will it be before a nuclear meltdown?
Do my grandchildren still have a chance in this world?
How will I manage the high demands I place on myself?

And above all: is it still worth adapting the continued existence of humanity to the climate?

Fears are important and completely normal companions. They protect us and signal that something is in motion. It is important that we give them their space, but never the steering wheel. Fear may be present as one of many feelings, but it should never take the lead.

The solution? Personal responsibility.

Recognize what I can do within my scope of action to counteract the distress I feel.
And then: take courage!

Fearful paralysis makes us vulnerable to manipulation - which is always a disadvantage. Let's take the feeling of powerlessness away from fear and grab it by the horns!
The thought alone feels better. 💚
