Get out of the Christmas shopping frenzy - but how?

Traffic chaos around the shopping centers, thousands on the pilgrimage to the best bargains, a scramble for the last TV at a super price - all at temperatures that make us dream of a white Christmas, which is sung in sparkling images from the loudspeakers, burst in a second.

I admit, strolling around and looking at the displays, thinking about who you can show your appreciation, love and friendship to and yes, even shopping - it's somehow as much a part of Christmas as the powdered sugar on the Ischler doughnuts.

Nevertheless, the question arises:

Is there another way?

In times of inflation and price increases to dizzying heights, with wages remaining constant in the best case scenario, normal Otto and Trude consumers can't afford to spend a lot on Christmas presents anyway.

On the other hand, there are also mountains of garbage that our throwaway society brings with it and which vividly show us that we don't actually need most of the things we spend our money on, or only need them for a short time - but how do we find a nice measure when giving gifts?

Nobody wants to stop - that's absolutely clear and we totally agree with that.

But perhaps we could take a step back, question our patterns that push us down well-trodden shopping paths from the first flicker of Christmas LED street lighting and rethink them.

pro.earth tips for a change of heart (perhaps not only at Christmas):

🎁 Start planning gifts earlier - usually saves us from having to give expensive and not always on-target gifts

🎁 Look for special pieces at flea markets or second-hand platforms

🎁 Giving time is actually the most valuable thing we can give - and ZERO WASTE!!!

🎁 Reflect on the essentials, because less really is usually more and a well-considered special gift (which doesn't have to cost much at all) simply weighs more heavily than a whole flood of the most expensive "little things"

With these little food for thought in mind, we wish you an atmospheric start to the most wonderful time of the year! ✨🎄🤶✨💚🎁✨
