Saving Amaryllis condemned to die

Like everything in life, the flower market is always subject to new trends. Now you can see them again in all garden centers: amaryllis bulbs in golden, white or red wax. This trend, which has been around for several years, means certain death for the plants. What to do?

The plant manages to flower with the energy stored in the bulb and then dies. It starves to death unless you remove the wax layer from the underside of the bulb and place it on damp moss until the bulb takes root. This video shows the procedure in a nutshell. You can then transfer it to a pot and give it a new life.

Give your amaryllis another life instead of throwing it away! It will thank you with beautiful blooms. Your #bedsisters
