Some like it hot - breakfast for the advanced

Once you've tried it, you won't want to miss it again - whether savory, fruity or sweet, a warm breakfast gives you a feeling of well-being that nothing can replace. We'll tell you why and provide a few heavenly examples.

There is no question that every system works better the more gently it is boosted. Depending on its composition, a hot breakfast not only provides us with vitamins and minerals, but also the one thing that sets it apart from muesli and the like - warmth.

Why is a hot breakfast so healthy?

First of all, we would like to point out that a hot breakfast is not a pizza reheated in the microwave the day before, but a carefully prepared, ideally porridge-like meal with a carefully chosen composition.

Feeding the body a meal like this - especially in the morning - makes digestion easier. On the one hand because, unlike cold food, it does not need any energy to warm up to body temperature, and on the other because the consistency is particularly easy to digest.

All this means is that the body can very easily convert this meal into energy. This in turn has the effect that we don't feel tired, but rather recharged and full of energy. Cravings are also kept in check.

The sweet version

Porridge is probably the most common form of breakfast porridge - and rightly so.

Oat flakes are packed with minerals, proteins, vitamins and antioxidants. They cause blood sugar levels to rise only slowly - which results in an anti-hunger effect. They also contain the building block beta-glucan, a soluble dietary fiber that has a positive effect on cholesterol levels, stimulates the intestinal flora and keeps you feeling full for a long time.

Millet, barley or rice can of course also be used.

Boiled with milk, plant milk and/or water, this is the basis of a nutritious, healthy breakfast porridge. In addition, there are no limits to your imagination. Seasonal fruit, spices such as cinnamon, nuts or honey are great accompaniments to this comforting porridge.

A hearty start to the day

What we serve for lunch or dinner is served for breakfast in Vietnam and Japan: soup.

In the Far East, these are, of course, the traditional varieties such as miso, pho & co, but all other soups are also great sources of energy in the morning. The only thing to bear in mind is that chemically produced soup powder must of course be avoided.

Other variations include spinach, eggs, tomato sauce, and, and, and.
