KONSUM - the biggest chunk on our balance sheet

Our CO2 footprint consists of at least 40% consumption - madness!

But this also brings good news: conscious shopping enables us to make enormous savings 🤔

All the goods we buy have to be produced and moved to get to the shops and ultimately to us, which makes them huge consumers of CO2.

But what does consumption actually mean?

The purchase of food, cosmetics, everyday necessities, clothing, shoes, furniture, sports and transportation equipment, electronics, and, and, and... but also services and climate-relevant leisure and vacation activities. - Not bad...

What can we do now? It's obvious... REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE ♻

REFUSE could be added to this, because a product that is not purchased has no impact on our footprint. Every smartphone used for a longer period of time (almost) replaces a new one.

This may seem unspectacular in detail, but if you apply this way of thinking to millions or billions of people who shop and use services every day, any explanation is superfluous.

With this in mind, consumption is worth a focus for us. 💚
