Deutsche Bahn keeps #veganuary dishes

Deutsche Bahn took part in the #Veganuary campaign this year - as did several other companies - and offered its passengers three additional vegan dishes. "This is a real mark of success for our campaign: veganizing popular classics inspires a huge target group and invites people to try them - and that's exactly what we're all about," said a delighted Christoph Hollmann from Veganuary, a non-profit organization that encourages people around the world to try vegan food for a month. This January broke all records: never before have so many people worldwide taken part in the campaign!

Vegan currywurst, chili sin carne and vegan tarte flambée are the three purely plant-based dishes that DB had included in its on-board bistro range. Due to the great popularity of these dishes, DB changed its plans without further ado and added them to the permanent program, which will please vegan passengers very much.

" Our participation brings the campaign to rail for the first time and makes traveling by train even more environmentally friendly. Ourparticipation in the "Veganuary" campaign is a further step in the sustainable design of our gastronomic offering," the company said in a press release.

Overall, meat-free meals on board German ICE and Intercity trains are now clearly in the majority. The company repeatedly emphasizes how strongly it focuses on environmental and climate protection.

Our pro.earth.conclusion: Eating meatless is one of the most important steps towards a climate-friendly lifestyle. We are delighted that a large company like DB has recognized this and has taken the first steps! #actinsteadofspeaking!
